24 YRS AGO... Celebrating achieving what I got told to be impossible.
Have you ever had a situation where you did something that was considered impossible?
Long time ago...
I learned how to climb a rope!
Later on, I got taught that many more things could have been done on it/with it...
How to do evolutions, flips and turns and going upside down, and staying... There... without using your hands...
I remember, as I was learning the rudiments of aerial acrobatics on the rope (corde lisse), how I was realising that I could have done some of those tricks with my stilts on!
I remember talking about this with the person that was teaching me.
I remember the conversation we had when I said it could have been done:
him "I don't see it happening"
me "It can be done"
him "I don't think so..."
me "I need to figure out a few things, but... It can be done"
him "show me"
me "Well... I can't, yet. I need to work on it, as I need to learn some of these moves better and I need to be stronger to move my body with an extra 110cm of aluminum sticking out of my feet" "The body centre will be different, I won't be able to use my legs to climb up and I will be heavier" "I need... Stronger arms... Stronger ABS... Stronger back... And to develop a solution for a couple of moves."
him "...Yeah... Ok... Climbing the rope, with your stilts on and performing it, going upside-down, doing the drops at 8 meters up in the air with the extra weight and not being able to use your feet at all??? ... Right..."
HAVE YOU EVER KNOWN, WITH ALL THE FIBERS IN YOUR BODY, THAT YOU COULD HAVE DONE IT AND YOU DID IT!?
It took me 2 months of specific, constant training...

Hey, Andrea... I did it.
KNOW YOURSELF, THE OTHERS, AND THE WORLD AROUND YOU.
Go beyond.
