The bill to pay.
At some point, the bill always arrives.
Not because someone is keeping score.
Because our choices build our life and what you sow you reap, sooner than later.
Maybe you talked about someone behind their back because, in that moment, it felt justified.
Maybe you broke someone's trust because you had a reason.
Maybe you betrayed someone and told yourself you had no choice.
And then, somewhere down the road, you realise you’ve built an environment where trust is harder to find.
That’s the moment where you could blame yourself, or where you could blame them.
Or, you could make a different choice and ask:
What do I do with this now?
What is under my control?
What can I do with what I have right now?
Maybe it means making the uncomfortable call.
“Look. I messed up. I’m sorry.”
Maybe it means choosing differently when nobody would ever know.
Maybe it means deciding that this experience is not going to define you, but it is going to change you.
Because that choice is happening now.
And the person you become through it is building your future.
So…
Who do you want to be in your story?
The person explaining why they had no choice?
Or
the person who takes charge of the next one?
In simple terms: how much cowardly or courageously you behave will determine the quality of your life and your relationships.
You and your choices are in charge of your life.
Forward.
